Nicolas Ventura was born in Guatemala, and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He graduated at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in the U.K. under the direction of both Ross Mckim and Amanda Britton.
In 2016, Nicolas joined Idan Sharabi & Dancers, where he began with assisting Idan for a creation at the Artez University, in Holland; following on to performing internationally. In early 2017, Nic performed as a dancer for the award winning choreographic work “Helium” by Solomon Berrio-Allen, at the acclaimed choreographic competition CICC (Copenhagen International Choreography Competition). Nic is currently dancing for Batsheva Dance Company - Young Ensemble (Israel).
Nicolas has created original choreographic works on dance companies, television shows, and personal projects. He has also created short works for young artists seeking to go to dance conservatories / colleges such as the The Juilliard School and the University of Southern California.
His most recent choreographic endeavour is in collaboration with Margarida Macieira for the Batsheva Creates platform in Israel.
